1: Peer Pressure
2: Like Top Gear UK's Alfa requirement, I believe the US equivelant is GC chassis ownership (some sort of subaru at least) as a prerequisite for jalop membership

My buddies wife used to own a 2.5RS. The car was sexy as hell. Until a semi ran into her/ran her off the road. She walked away fine, but the car was dead. *sad face*

I killed mine twice, once like this, and the second time the gearbox came apart and spewed gear teeth all over the street
I'd say that's one less for people to buy, but I sold it, broken engine/trans and all within minutes of listing it to someone who rebuilt it :D

I had a friend in college with a 2.5RS. I still want one. Especially with a newer WRX motor in it.

if you are swapping the motor anyway, skip the RS and just get any old Impreza, save you monies. Thats my main argument against the article on the front page

NO, you must own a proper Alfa that you pour money into and it works 1/3 of the time! THIS IS THE RULEZ.
(I had one, it was glorious. Sometimes.)
